The 53rd Dr Hanan Youssef Cultural Salon was held by the Arab Organisation for International Dialogue and Co-operation on the theme ‘Celebrating Holidays: Understanding Victory and Spreading Awareness through Media…Media as model’.
Many distinguished members, scholars, and experts from various Arab countries attended the event.
Professor Dr Hanan Youssef, who is both a professor of International Media and the President of the Arab Organisation for Dialogue, said the Cultural Salon team is committed to staying updated with regional events.
“We’re observing numerous occasions and holidays for Muslims and Christians, along with commemorating Sinai Liberation Day and approaching Labour Day, which inspired us to explore how holidays are observed and portrayed in the media,” Youssef said.
Youssef said that the media plays a crucial role in educating the younger generation about national occasions and holidays in the Arab region. This is achieved through collaboration with art, culture, and other relevant institutions in society.
Many experts came to the salon and shared their ideas about how holidays are important for people. They talked about how celebrating Sinai Liberation Day makes Egyptians and Arabs proud.
The salon praised Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian people during the Sinai Liberation celebrations, highlighting them as a great example of pride, dignity, and determination in achieving victories.
