صمود الجامعات السودانية: من رماد الحرب إلى نور الأمل
في خضمّ الألم الذي أحدثته الحرب في السودان، تبرز قصة صمود من نوعٍ خاصّ، قصة مؤسسات التعليم العالي التي رفضت أن ترفع الراية البيضاء أمام الدمار والفوضى. إنها حكاية جامعة الخرطوم،بوصفها نموذجًا، فإنها تمثل روح كل جامعة سودانية تسعى لبعث الحياة من جديد في رحابها. إن زيارة كل من رئيس الوزراء ووزير التعليم العالي للجامعة لا تقتصر على كونها زيارة تفقدية، بل هي رسالة قوية تحمل في طياتها اعترافًا بالصمود، وتأكيدًا على الالتزام بإعادة بناء ما هدمته الحرب، وإعادة الحياة إلى شرايين التعليم.
إنّ الكلمات وحدها لا يمكنها أن تصف حجم الدمار الذي أصاب مؤسسات الدولة في السودان، وجامعة الخرطوم ليست استثناءً. لقد كانت معقلًا للمعرفة، ومركزًا للإشعاع الثقافي، لكنها تحولت إلى ساحة معركة. ورغم ذلك، لم تستسلم إدارتها ولا أساتذتها ولا طلابها لهذا الواقع المرير. لقد أظهروا شجاعة منقطعة النظير في الحفاظ على استمرارية العملية التعليمية، سواء داخل السودان أو خارجه. إن عقد الامتحانات في مجمع كلية التربية بأم درمان، رغم كل الصعوبات، هو دليل قاطع على أن الإرادة والعزيمة أقوى من أي محاولة لتقويض مسيرة العلم. هذا الإنجاز ليس مجرد حدث عابر، بل هو رسالة تحدٍّ للعالم أجمع، بأن السودان وشعبه لن يتوقفوا عن بناء المستقبل، وأن المعرفة هي سلاحهم الأقوى.
لقد أثبتت جامعة الخرطوم أنها ليست مجرد مبانٍ وقاعات، بل هي فكرة راسخة، وروح متجذرة، لا يمكن للدمار أن يطالها. لقد عملت على تقديم الامتحانات في أكثر من خمس دورات، داخل وخارج البلاد، مما يبرز حجم الجهد الذي بذلته للحفاظ على المسار الأكاديمي للطلاب، وتوفير الفرص لهم لإكمال دراستهم في ظل ظروف بالغة التعقيد. هذا الجهد ليس وليد اللحظة، بل هو نتاج تخطيط دؤوب، وإصرار لا يلين على تجاوز المحنة، والبحث عن سبل لإعادة الحياة إلى طبيعتها.
في خضمّ هذا الصراع من أجل البقاء، لم تتوقف عجلة البحث العلمي. فقد أثنى وزير التعليم العالي على نتائج بحثٍ أجراه باحثون في كلية الطب والعلوم والصيدلة بالتعاون مع جامعة كوموتو اليابانية، والذي نتج عنه إيجاد عقار جديد لمرض الإيدز. هذا الإنجاز ليس مجرد خبر عادي، بل هو شهادة حية على أن العقل السوداني لم ينحرف عن مساره، وأنه ما زال يساهم في حل المشكلات العالمية، حتى في ظل أسوأ الظروف. إن هذا البحث يبعث برسالة قوية مفادها أن السودان، ورغم كل ما يمر به، ما زال مصدرًا للإلهام، ومحطة للبحث العلمي، وأن العلماء السودانيين لديهم القدرة على تقديم حلول لمشاكل البشرية.
إن هذا الإنجاز يبرز أهمية الاستثمار في البحث العلمي، فهو ليس مجرد ترفٍ فكري، بل هو أساس التقدم، ووسيلة لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة. إن دعم الوزارة للبحث العلمي، وتوفير البيئة المناسبة للباحثين، هو خطوة حاسمة نحو إعادة بناء مؤسسات التعليم العالي، وجعلها قادرة على المنافسة على الصعيدين الإقليمي والعالمي.

إن ما يحدث في جامعة الخرطوم، وغيرها من الجامعات السودانية، هو قصة أمل. إنها قصة شعب يرفض الاستسلام، ويصر على بناء المستقبل، حتى في ظل أسوأ الظروف. إن الدمار الذي حلّ بالجامعة هو تذكير بأن الحرب لا تفرق بين البشر والحجر، ولكن الصمود والإصرار هما السلاح الأقوى في مواجهة الدمار. إن قصة جامعة الخرطوم هي قصة كل سوداني، يواجه الصعاب، ويصر على تجاوزها، ويؤمن بأن الأمل هو شعلة لا يمكن للظلام أن يطفئها.
إن زيارات المسؤولين، والدعم الذي يقدمونه، هو خطوة مهمة، لكن الطريق ما زال طويلًا. يجب أن تستمر الجهود، وتتوحد الصفوف، من أجل بناء مؤسسات تعليمية قوية، قادرة على إعداد جيل جديد من القادة والعلماء والمبدعين، جيل قادر على بناء السودان الجديد، السودان الذي يستحق أن يكون في مقدمة الأمم.

The University of Khartoum has proven that it is not just buildings and lecture halls, but a firm idea and a deep-rooted spirit that destruction cannot touch. It has worked to administer more than five rounds of exams, both inside and outside the country, which highlights the great effort made to maintain students’ academic progress and provide them with opportunities to complete their studies under highly complex circumstances. This effort isn’t a spur-of-the-moment thing; it’s the result of diligent planning and unyielding determination to overcome the ordeal and find ways to return to normal life.
In the midst of this struggle for survival, the wheel of scientific research has not stopped. The Minister of Higher Education praised the results of research conducted by researchers at the Faculty of Medicine, Science, and Pharmacy in collaboration with Komoto University in Japan, which resulted in a new drug for AIDS. This achievement is not just ordinary news; it is a living testament that the Sudanese mind has not strayed from its path and is still contributing to solving global problems, even under the worst conditions. This research sends a powerful message that Sudan, despite everything it is going through, is still a source of inspiration and a hub for scientific research, and that Sudanese scientists have the ability to provide solutions to humanity’s problems. This achievement highlights the importance of investing in scientific research, as it is not just an intellectual luxury but the foundation of progress and a means to achieve sustainable development. The ministry’s support for scientific research and providing a suitable environment for researchers is a crucial step toward rebuilding higher education institutions and making them capable of competing regionally and globally.
Reconstruction efforts are not the sole responsibility of universities; they are a shared responsibility among the government, universities, and society. The Prime Minister’s visit and his pledge of support confirm that the state is placing the reconstruction of universities at the top of its priorities. The destruction of higher education institutions is the destruction of the future, so their reconstruction is an investment in future generations and a crucial step toward restoring stability and prosperity. The ministry’s plan for reconstruction, supporting infrastructure, and providing laboratories, lecture halls, and offices are practical steps that translate words into actions. However, this requires concerted efforts, unified ranks, and overcoming differences to build a better future for all. Improving the service conditions for university professors is an integral part of this plan, as the university professor is the pillar of the educational process, and their financial and moral stability positively reflects on the quality of education and their ability to be creative and innovative.
What is happening at the University of Khartoum and other Sudanese universities is a story of hope.
