University of Khartoum Engineering Students Begin Practical Training at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport

Engineering students from the University of Khartoum have commenced their practical training program at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) today. This initiative aligns with the university’s commitment to providing its students with the necessary hands-on experience to complement their academic studies.
Professor Jamal Murtada Abdallah, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, stated that arrangements have been made with the academy to utilize its facilities for training students from various engineering departments. This training will take place before the upcoming written examinations, scheduled to begin on October 26th, in multiple locations both within and outside Sudan. Professor Abdallah further noted that the AASTMT has graciously offered to host these examinations at its premises in Sheriton Residences, Cairo.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with several faculty members, is overseeing the practical training program for the engineering students.
It is worth mentioning that the University of Khartoum and the AASTMT have previously signed a cooperation agreement encompassing student training, faculty exchange, joint research, and the accommodation of University of Khartoum students at the AASTMT campus in Cairo. Moreover, the agreement facilitates the training of applied science students at the AASTMT’s laboratories and workshops.
